Short summary
You search for an AFI, filter it, check the details, and preregister. That's the whole flow. The app centralizes the information and controls the capacities so the process is quick and leaves a record.
Real purpose
Modernize how the community finds AFI activities and signs up. The prototype shows what an up-to-date flow could look like (think e‑UANL / digital campus), with far less friction than today's institutional systems.
Key features
- Mobile-first: optimized for small screens and on-campus use
- Clear flow: search → filter → view details → preregister
- Immediate feedback and temporary capacity locking to prevent overbooking

Leaflet · React · Tailwind · TypeScript

Design and accessibility
Made for the phone and for quick reading: clear hierarchy, large touch targets, accessible states. Maps run on Leaflet, which works really well on mobile.
Challenges and learnings
- Prevent overbooking through temporary locks and fast synchronization between list and map.
- Show relevant information without overloading the mobile view.
- Design verifiable exports (CSV/JSON) for institutional auditing.
Impact and institutional value
Less administrative load and less confusion from scattered information. Registrations become traceable, and students get one single place to find and manage their AFI activities. It's meant as a prototype to show the authorities and push for integration with the university's systems.
